Every weekday morning, our kids pick up new skills and experience through play-based, semi-structured activities. All our activities are developmentally-appropriate, as assessed by our mentors.
What is developmentally-appropriate practice?
- Developmentally-appropriate practice means meeting children where they are. This will require the mentor (teacher) to get to know your child well before setting challenging yet achievable goals.
- Every child is unique. Therefore, all teaching practices should be appropriate to children's age and developmental status.
- Mentors ensure that goals and experiences are suited to your child's pace, while ensuring that they provide a healthy challenge to promote progress and interest.
We help our children to transit from PlayGroup to Preschool through scaffolding. Scaffolding supports children's learning by breaking down their learning into manageable chunks as they progress towards greater understanding and independence. This is how our mentors provide support in order to help your child learn new skills and concepts.
